The Newcastle Wind Orchestra, conducted by Mr Ian Cook, will present a concert for both young and old in the stunning Sisters’ Chapel, on August 10th. Newcastle playwright Carl Caulfield and Ghillian Sullivan will narrate the stories, in a performance of Animal Tales: The Pied Piper of Hamelin and Henry Lawson’s The Loaded Dog. Kids will be able to sit down the front (BYO cushion) to be close to the action – plus come dressed as your favourite mouse, you never know where the Pied Piper might lead you!
Tickets are $25 adults, $10 school student, $5 pre-schoolers and $60 family; these include a delicious Convent-made afternoon tea. Book ahead at www.trybooking.com/501825 or at the door from 1.30pm (2pm start).
