Grapes Meet Grains at Annual Festival

hunter valley beer and wine fest

A stellar line-up of wineries, brewers and entertainers are confirmed for this year’s Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival.

The 2024 Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival will showcase over 50 of the Valley’s best wineries, distillers, and brewers on Saturday, 13 July, at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley.

Prepare your taste buds for a journey through the Hunter Valley's finest wines. From local producers such as Margan, Pepper Tree, Allandale, Briar Ridge and Audrey Wilkinson, to the unique offerings of boutique wineries like Gundog, Gartelmann, Binet Family Wines and Elbourne Wines, there's a wine for every palate at the festival. Beer lovers are also well-catered for, with Lovedale-based Sydney Brewery, Willie the Boatman, and Hope Brewery amongst those exhibiting, alongside distillers Kissofire Hunter Valley Liqueurs, Pants Off Distillery, and Bimbadgen’s Night Merchant Distillery.

Accompanying the drink options is a wide range of cuisines, including paella, curry, Italian, and an enticing array of tempting artisan foods from local providers such as the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory and Goose on the Loose.

Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day, with Ella Powell providing country licks to accompany lunch, followed by a local band on the festival stage.

The Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival is not just for adults. It's a family-friendly event where children are not just allowed but welcomed. Children accompanying adults receive complimentary entry to the Festival, where they will enjoy a variety of activities including a jumping castle, train rides, and face painting.

There is plenty of free onsite parking at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley over the weekend.

By attending the festival, you're not just enjoying a day of wine, beer, and entertainment. You're also supporting the local NSW Rural Fire Service. The festival will host fundraising activities on the day, with all proceeds going towards this important local service.

The NSW Rural Fire Service is the lead combat agency for bushfires in NSW. For over 100 years, it has played a significant role in the history and landscape of NSW, responding to a range of emergencies, including structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, and storms that occur within rural fire districts.

General Admission tickets are available for $25pp ($35pp on the day) through Ticketek (booking fees apply). Tickets include entry into the festival, a complimentary first drink (up to the value of $8), a memorabilia wine glass, access to 50+ of the best local wineries, distilleries, and craft breweries, gourmet food vendors, live music, and other festival activities. Make a weekend of it! Rydges Resort Hunter Valley has special Festival accommodation packages available for Friday and Saturday nights, making it an ideal weekend getaway.
