Hunter Valley Uncorked: Sips, Sights and Family Delights
Experience Wine Country in the best way, with a host of fun activities and tasty treats for the whole family to enjoy. There’s no doubt this is a special place.
And it’s the whole offering that makes it so great. First (for the big kids), there’s the seriously tasty beer to be sampled at 4 Pines at the Farm - a 600-square-metre tap room, bistro, and cellar door ready to explore. This is the perfect destination venue to enjoy a great cocktail, Hunter wine, or a 4 Pines craft brew from one (or all!) of 12 taps and limited-release brews.
4 Pines at The Farm is a haven for families. With a variety of kid friendly menu options, ample space for little ones to play, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, parents and groups of friends can unwind and enjoy their time knowing that everyone is well taken care of.
After everyone has enjoyed their meal and a perfectly matched beverage, you can take a short stroll down to the Hunter Farm Adventure Centre, where the kids can interact with farm animals or ride a pony. There are even options for older kids with segway tours designed to explore the surrounding nature and hopefully spot some kangaroos— be sure to bring your camera along! Electric bikes are also available to experience the Hunter Valley on wheels, with a fun-filled itinerary tailored to your requirements, guaranteeing fun at each stop.
Alternatively, you can take it easy and spend quality time chatting with friends while soaking in the 360-degree panoramic views stretching to the Barrington Tops. Or make your way to the Hunter Farm Wines Cellar Door to enjoy a range of premium wines. Here you’ll also find the Hunter Valley Wine School: Hunter Wine Theatre experience. The Hunter Wine Theatre experience includes a 15-minute presentation covering a year of winemaking in Australia's oldest wine region. See the grape growing process, annual harvest, and steps of production like crushing, fermentation, filtration, barrel aging, and blending - displayed on a large screen. The Hunter Valley Wine School offers the total “Wine Education Experience” with a two-hour education on wine – from the grapevine to the bottle.
And, of course, after all that fun, you may just need to rest your head and rejuvenate at the on-site accommodation, Hunter Resort. For more information on Hunter Resort and the activities on offer, visit www.hunterresort.com.au.
