Mark “Chopper” Read Art Exhibition
Your Hunter Valley Magazine

41 original artworks painted by Chopper Read whilst he was in gaol, will be on show and for sale, as well as signed Chopper memorabilia and a full sized coffin featuring a portrait of Chopper that has been crafted into a coffee table.
Chopper signed and dedicated all his paintings to underworld criminals, and people who inspired him - for example Flowers for Carl and Tribute to Nancy Wake. He was inspired by Sidney Nolan’s Ned Kelly Figures, Picasso and Van Gough.
This is your chance to own a piece of Australian criminal lore. The event runs 8-11 April with free entry, 10am–5pm (closed Good Friday). For more information visit www.morpethgallery.com
