Prehistoric Playground Mega Creatures Return

Hunter Valley Gardens' annual Mega Creatures event returns from 5 April to 4 May, celebrating its tenth year.
The prehistoric-themed attraction spans ten zones across gardens featuring over 6,000 trees and a million ground-cover plants.
This year introduces the new Land of Legends section with mythical creatures, including Cerberus, Pegasus, and Griffin. Returning dinosaur favourites like T-Rex and Brachiosaurus will be joined by newcomers such as Maiasaura and Caudipteryx.
Visitors can attend day sessions (9am-4pm) or night safaris (5pm- 9pm), where creatures come alive with special lighting. Amusement rides are available for $6 each, with a bonus pack option of six tickets for $30.
A dinosaur egg hunt offers daily chances to win a family pass to Snow Time in the Garden. Special entertainment includes Erth's Roving Baby Dinosaurs (11 to 27 April) and a School Stamp Hunt. The Easter weekend (18 to 21 April) features Giant Easter Egg Hunts with chocolate for every child.
