Saddler’s Creek Wines was established in 1990, as a family owned boutique winery it was important to create memorable wine tasting experiences to visitors with an emphasis on enjoying life’s simple pleasures of spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food with great wine.
“Our cellar door experience has certainly evolved over the past few years based on what visitors tell us they want when coming to the Hunter Valley. People were seeking more than your typical wine tasting, they craved knowledge, yet they also wanted to unwind in an outdoor environment. So we created beautiful wine garden spaces and reimagined our wine tasting experiences to share knowledge in a relaxing and fun atmosphere” says owner Wendy Laureti.
The Cellar Door is open daily where visitors can tailor their wine tasting based on their preferences and choose from a broad selection of premium sparkling, white and red wines. If you are a red wine lover, the iconic Bluegrass Collection is a must to try which is a renowned favourite among guests and wine club members.
Those seeking to level up their wine knowledge can book for the weekly themed Wine and Food Pairing Masterclass. The wine expert will guide you through six featured wines presented side by side, allowing you the opportunity to evaluate the nuances of each variety, style and vintage. Your tasting journey is matched to a curated Degustation Tasting Plate of six small bites so you can experience how each sip harmoniously pairs with each bite.
If you are travelling to the Hunter Valley over the weekend, Saddler’s Creek Wines has an onsite food van, run by Vincent St Kitchen + Bar. Enjoy the casual eats on offer, accompanied by live music on Fridays at 4–7pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 11am–4pm. Twilight Friday ‘Wine & Chill’ is the perfect way to kick start your weekend away. Unwind with good vibes and enjoy a great wine by the glass or bottle, delicious food and live music.
Saddler's Creek Wines also offers a beautiful picnic ground with picnic tables or BBQ facilities and stunning Brokenback Range vistas.
