For those of you who are already fans, we’re probably preaching to the converted. But for those yet to pay a visit to the Hart & Hunter cellar door, the 3rd Long Table White Lunch might just be exactly the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
Jodie Belleville (who co-owns the winery with her husband Damien) says the cellar door’s beautiful outdoor space inspired the concept, and the first event was launched to welcome in the Spring of 2022.
“We hope to build this into a significant local event for not only our members but for visiting guests who love the Hunter Valley and enjoy a unique dining experience,” said Jodie.
The luncheon is an indulgent affair of five courses paired beautifully with a decadent selection of Hart & Hunter Wines.
“Jonathan from Well Seasoned Catering and his team will be cooking for us on the day. This is the second year they will be looking after our guests,” said Jodie.
“His approach to food and ingredients is all about respecting the produce and allowing it to speak for itself. He enjoys cooking honest, humble dishes, and his love for Asian food has influenced his menus for many years. We are really excited to welcome his team back.
“We start the day with Champagne and canapés, then once seated, progress through a curated list of wines, including Magnums and vintage releases of our favourite wines. This being our 15th year of Hart & Hunter, we will showcase some amazing vintages like the 2014 Ablington in a double Magnum and a pHat Shiraz blend#1 in a Magnum.
“Attendees will also be the first to taste our premium ICON Chardonnay, as the long table is the official release day of this wine.”
The 3rd Long Table White Lunch will be held on Saturday, 14 September, from 12.30 pm at the Hart & Hunter Cellar Door (463 Deaseys Rd Pokolbin). This is an outdoor dining experience, and tickets can be purchased directly from the website at www.hartandhunter.com.au/events
