After purchasing the Estate in 2020, Matt Dillow is now the driving force behind Gartelmann Wines and The Deck Café, aiming to provide an authentic ‘Hunter Valley’ experience that you can enjoy with the whole family and make good food and fabulous wines part of everyday life.
Focusing on a fine wine philosophy and having produced some of the Hunter Valley’s most awarded wines, Gartelmann Wines establishes itself as an extraordinary winery. On a visit to the Cellar Door, you will unlock your inner winemaker with Red or White Wine Blending Masterclasses, or if you’re after something a little shorter, you could opt for a tasting. Situated on the deck, you will also find The Deck Café, which provides a fantastic breakfast menu followed by a diverse ‘Tapas’ menu for lunch complemented by Gartelmann wines and a generous range of beverages. Matt also frequently holds cooking classes for both kids and adults, as well as many fun events, such as, Degustation Dinners, High Tea Parties and Food, Wine and Produce Tours all over Australia.
